Agrimony ~ Wonderful medicinal herb traditionally used for its anti-inflammatory, and warming and energising properties. Blends well with rosemary, lemon balm and fresh ginger.

Apothecary Rose ~ Rosa gallica, prized for its beautiful aroma, and soothing and calming properties. Mildly bitter and toning, this rose blends well with elderflower, hawthorn and chamomile.

Betony ~ An ancient healing herb traditionally used against headache caused by stress. It's valued for its gentle calming properties, and as a digestive and sleep aid. Add a dash of lavender or chamomile to make a soothing sleep remedy.

Chamomile ~ The earth-apple, one of history's oldest and most regarded medicinal herbs, renowned for its calming and sedative properties, and fragrant aroma.

Cornsilk ~ A mild and nourishing with a warm and sweet aroma, valued for its soothing and toning properties. Drink it alone as a tea, or blend with warming spices such as cardamon and cinnamon.

Dandelion leaf ~ A bitter tonic revered for its medicinal value, with nutritional and anti-inflammatory properties, traditionally used to cleanse the liver and improve digestion.

Elderflower ~ A sweet spring blossom with potent healing properties. Traditionally used to support the immune system, reduce fever and inflammation. Highly prized for its ability to sooth skin and tone the complexion. Pairs well with mint and yarrow in a remedy against chesty coughs.

Hyssop ~ A close cousin of lavender, with a cool, relaxing and minty aroma, traditionally used against respiratory illness and to sooth the chest. Pairs well with chamomile, lavender and mint.

Lavender ~ Ancient Roman herb renowned for its strong perfume and relaxing effects. Traditionally used to promote a restful sleep and to clear the mind. Prized for its skin healing and pain relieving properties.

Lemon Balm ~ Citrus scented with powerful remedial effects. Traditionally used to calm the nervous system, promote rest and recuperation. Highly prized for its anti-oxidant, anti-viral and skin toning properties.

Marigold ~ Beloved for its abilities to soften and heal the skin, with bitter, cooling and protective properties, traditionally used in topical moisturisers, beauty treatments and digestive remedies.

Mugwort ~ Ancient and aromatic, a bitter herbal medicine traditionally used in remedies for menstruation, digestion, and as a calmative with relaxing properties. Prized for its magical aroma and use as a dream and meditation herb.

Mullein (flower and leaf) ~ Soft and soothing healing herb renowned for its benefits for the throat and chest, and for its wound healing properties.

Nettle ~ A ubiquitous herb with many good uses. Traditionally used as a spring tonic, a remedy for join pain, seasonal allergies, and to build strength after illness. Prized for its nutritional qualities and its energising and cleansing properties.

Passionflower ~ A herbal remedy for sleep and relaxation, prized for its calming and mildly pain relieving properties. Traditionally used in teas and tinctures to help with sleep and stress relief.

Peppermint ~ Sweet, cooling and aromatic enjoyed for its refreshing flavour and abilities to settle the stomach, and clear the mind. Mint blends well with lavender or chamomile, and should be added to less aromatic teas herbs to balance the blend with its flavour and calming properties.

Rose hip ~ Rich in vitamins C and E, and prized for its immune boosting properties. Traditionally used in remedies against winter colds and viruses. Rose hip is also anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and has wonderful benefits for skin, making it an excellent natural ingredient in beauty products.
